For FiveM GTA V police roleplay servers

The citywent quiet.Your PD didn't.

Overshift keeps your cops busy when nothing is happening. It sends small, believable calls into the ps-dispatch you already run, so officers stay on shift and new players log in to a city that feels alive. Real crime always comes first.

01 The quiet hours

3 a.m. Two officers. Nothing on the board.

Every police RP city has a dead stretch. Officers sit in the PD with nothing to do, get bored and log off. The next player who logs on finds an empty city, and leaves too. Overshift fills those gaps, and only those gaps.

  • Officers stay on shift because there's always something to roll on.
  • New players see a live city instead of an empty one, even at 3 a.m.
  • No staff time. No one has to run fake calls or babysit it.

02 How it works

A small resource. Your dispatch. No new UI.

01

It watches the city

Every 30 seconds it checks officers on duty, players online and the last real alert. When the city has been quiet long enough, it acts. No per-frame work.

Waits 12 min of quiet · up to 4 calls/hour · off above 40 players

02

It picks a call

A human-written template, set at a place on your list: a store, a street, a beach. Never built from where a player is standing.

20 call types · 20 default places · add your own MLOs

03

It lands in ps-dispatch

Officers get a normal alert with a caller line and, if you like, a short radio line read through a radio filter once the channel is clear.

03 Live demo

Send yourself a call.

Pick a place and a call type and see exactly what your officers would get. It's the same service your server uses. Sound on.

Dispatch console

On your server, calls only come when officers are on duty and nothing real has happened for a while.

04 Ground rules

Built so staff can trust it.

Written by people

Every call is a human-written template. Nothing players see in-game is AI-generated, in line with the Cfx.re rules.

Never snitches

Calls come from your list of places, never from where players are. Follow-ups on real events stay off until you turn them on.

Real scenes come first

A real alert resets the quiet timer. Busy city, no calls. You set the hours, the limits and the minimum officers on duty.

Works offline

If our service is ever down, the built-in call library keeps running on your server. Nothing breaks and nothing needs a restart.

05 Install

Five minutes to first call.

  1. Download the resource and drop the overshift folder into your resources.
  2. Add ensure overshift after ps-dispatch and ox_lib in server.cfg.
  3. Restart. The console prints a claim link. You only need it to upgrade or set up the morning report.
  4. Run /overshift doctor. It checks every part of the install on one screen.

08 Questions

What owners ask first.

Do I need an account or a licence key?

No. The free plan runs as soon as you install. You only claim your server, with an email link, to attach a paid plan or set up the morning report.

Is the call text written by AI?

No. Every call is written by people and filled in with the places on your list. Our service only decides what to send and when, based on who's online and what's already happening. This follows the Cfx.re rules on generated in-game content.

Will it flood my dispatch?

No. By default it sends at most 4 calls an hour, only after a quiet spell, and never while real alerts are coming in. You set the hours, the limits and the minimum number of officers on duty.

What does it cost in server performance?

Very little. The resource does no per-frame work; it checks the city every 30 seconds on the server side.

Which frameworks and dispatch scripts work?

QBCore and Qbox with ps-dispatch today. ESX and more dispatch scripts are planned for January 2027. Tell us which one you run so we build the right one first.

What data do you collect?

Only what's needed to pace calls and run the morning report: player and officer counts, call outcomes and the places on your list. No player names, chat or voice. Details are in the privacy policy.

What happens if Overshift shuts down?

The resource keeps working with its built-in library. We'll give 60 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for beyond the closing date.
